I was sms-ing Melody on the way back home yesterday. Then suddenly she replied, "Do you know Burberry passed away?"
This time, however, I wasnt as shocked as I was when Dior died. Burberry's death was expected. He's been so weak lately, so inactive, so tired. You see, Burberry has a growth on his underside. We went to the vet's and he also said it was already time..
A long long time ago, we brought Dior to the vet's. Before we left, the staff held a hamster on his hand. "Want it?" Without much hesitation, we agreed and took it back home with us. Burberry shall be his name.
We took great care of Burberry just like we took care of Dior. He ate a lot, so much that he looked like a fat sausage that Melody and I called him that. He was such a fun. I remember there was once when he somehow managed to escape his cage and roamed the house. We were so worried he would be trapped somewhere or fall down the stairs. Fortunately he was seen circling his own cage after a while.
I remember how Burberry & Dior used to smell each other's butt, fighting at times, yet so loving at times. Siblings or couple?, Melody and I always say.
A small li'l hamster, yet he brought us so much beautiful memories.
Dior and Burberry, I'll never forget you for being the nicest and sweetest hamsters.
Love, Me.

Friday
After school, we started decorating the classroom for Saturday's Parent-Child Day. Fanghua, Reena, Gerome and I went to the hall for dry-run as we were the ushers. Fanghua, for some reason, kept laughing. The security guard was laughing at him too.
An hour or so later, we went back to class and helped with the decorations. It was nice to see majority of the class so united, so helpful, so committed. Later, Yixuan called me to go over to the hall to help them with compiling the videos together. Mrs Chin asked for my name but later she kept calling me Bridget. No Bridget, we don't look alike. :D
Back home after dinner, I was transferring pictures of the class to my thumbdrive so I could develop them and paste them on the classroom's wall tomorrow. However, the photoshop at Serangoon Gardens closed for the day as soon as I went there. I was so despondent I thought I was going to cry. It was only 8.30pm and I didn't expect it to close. I called Daryl but she did not pick up. Called Reena, Fanghua and Bridget but they couldn't help too. My kind dad drove me around to look for a place where I could develop. I thought of Heartland Mall so I rang up Maverick since he stays somewhere there. Fortunately, there's a Kodak there and I was then relieved. Thanks Maverick. I almost broke down that night! I sincerely wanted to help to embellish the classroom to the maximum, hence I was so desperate for the photos. Anyway, I'm glad I made it.
Saturday
It's PC Day at last! Bridget and I trained to Buona Vista as both our parents couldnt fetch us there. I've decided to be a kind soul then and helped her with her script. You see, my wonderful best friend cum confidante cum tuition classmate cum sister cum bitch no.2 was chosen to be the Hall Emcee together with Hannah. Met the rest of the clique later and walked to school together.
Ushering was so-so. It was interacting that was fun. I got to know Melanie's and Daryl's mum better. Daryl's mum was so hilarious. She knew I didnt like durians so she said as-a-matter-of-factly, "Right, let's go for a durian tour soon!" My dad was bored so he went back before it ended. He had a great chat with Bridget's mum and I guess they talked about us. As they were talking, Bridget and I slipped off to see _________.
PC Day was a success. Thank you Bellancans for putting your hearts in. Thank you Arthur and Chester for playing with the beach ball when I was struggling to sort of the workpieces on Friday. Thank you classroom emcees for doing a good job. Thank you Jonathan's mum for waking up at midnight to prepare the food for us. Thank you Ms Chan for helping us take class photos despite being in a rush. Thank you everyone for making it a success. Absolutely everybody!

Sunday
I had Math tuition in the morning with Bridget. I embarrassed myself again. Yes, Bridget. Towards the end of the tuition, Ms Tan taught us construction. When she went out of the classroom, Bridget thought of impressing her by drawing the circle before she had a chance to guide us. I helped to draw the circle. Meanwhile, we were panicking and Bridget said, "Hurry! Don't let her come in!" I replied, "Okay. Let me lock the door." What crap.
Sunday plan didnt turn out good but nevertheless, it still spelled trouble for that person. No wonder we're called the Double Trouble.
