I EMBARRASED MYSELF IN CHINESE CLASS AGAIN ARGGGHHHHH!

忐忑
Now, how would you read this? First reaction is 上下，right? Who would ever think it's tan(3) te(4)? Okay what happened was, wu lao shi called me to read the passage in the textbook, and so I did. And then this idiom 忐忑不安appeared. I havent come across this word but I thought I always hear people say shang xia bu an. Thinking I was right, I continued reading nonchalently. And then everyone started laughing. (I could even hear Bridget's laughter.) Wu lao shi came to me and told me it was tan(3) te(4) and I was so embarrassed! It's like, havent I already embarrassed myself enough last year?

Last year, I came across this term 弟子规 or however you write it. I hadnt seen that term before and didnt know what it meant. So I thought it was a breed of tortoise or something and Bridget started circulating it around the class. And the another was the Chinese saying, "一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井绳". It actually means once bitten, twice shy. I thought it was "一朝被蛇咬，十年怕井条" and I actually wrote that on my script. Bridget, as always, laughed a lot, followed by broadcasting it to the class. Arghhhh. And now it seems like History is repeating itself. So much for learning from past mistakes.

Oh yes, Mr Swee revealed his age and as guessed, he's 21. He's going to USA to study in August and Im so envious because he's that only Singaporean who got admission this year. MY LANGUAGE ARTS TEACHER, YES. Gosh, I absolutely love him as a teacher and I totally dread Term 3 because he wont be in school by then. Besides Zhiliang, I think Mr Swee is the best teacher I ever had. I think many people dont really agree with me? But that's probably because you guys arent used to his way of teaching and his idea of independent-learning. If you do, you'll know what I mean by HE'S THE BEST TEACHER. I sincerely hope he's gonna enjoy his course in the USA for 4 years. All the best, Mr Swee! (:

Music today was fun. Bridget and I talked a lot and got caught many times. Haha since Mrs Kang separated us, it's only right for us to talk when we get to sit together. -ops- Oh gosh she probably misses my doodles in class and I guess I miss her singing in class? Argh now that we're separated, I can hardly teach her whatever Kimberly teaches me and she can hardly help me with my Math during class.

We had our 剧本presentation yesterday. Our group did a great job so YAY EVERYONE. Bridget, Daryl, Stephy, Reena and Melanie. We had an elephant of time
rehearsing at the romantic corner at zheng xin yuan. Laughed so much our stomachs hurt. I think Daryl did a superb job and YAY EVERYONE. Love yall to bits

Lastly, Jerrold is not cute. Hahahaha he innocently got banned from my cbox and that explains why he hasnt been tagging. I didnt ban him from my tagboard. I have no idea why he's banned.

Im gonna miss you guys terribly. The past 1 year has been a very enjoyable journey for me and I've had a lot of fun with every single one of you. Thanks for all the memories and I'll never forget yall, no matter where I am. Im sorry that you guys wont understand a thing at this point of time but we will break this news to yall very soon. As soon as we find the courage to. Till then, I love you guys!

Feeling tired and sick all of a sudden. Guess I havent had enough sleep these days. I usually survive on merely 4-6 hours of sleep and have to pull through the long and tiring days in school, from sitting in the classroom for hours to study to syf preparations. At the same time, I have EAS Day event to work on with the rest of the EAS Day Committee. Not forgetting piano. I had to make it a point to practise my songs and scales every week as well as complete my theory homework. And all my school homework, projects, tests, timed-practises ARGH.

I just remembered that I've got a Chinese book to read for my Chinese book review. Thank God, Zhiyi is willing to exchange her book with mine which is a super thick book which bombards me with crazy words that I didnt even know existed. Well I should really be thankful and read the exchanged book which is a much thinner book with easier words. Moreover, to reach my goal of becoming an effective billingual, just like Michelle Chia, I cant afford to read only my English novels. I should really start reading my Chinese book and stop making up book reviews.

Lastly, I need to brush up my horrible Math. Oh and speaking of Math, Bridget was absolutely abnormal today during tuition. She was hush-ing Patrick and his cousin (?), haha! In addition, she couldnt stop laughing after learning Trig and kept repeating that line to me throughout the whole tuition. Hahaha I bet she'll laugh again when Ms Ngau teaches us that in school.

Off to start studying for Malay test despite feeling shitty. Gotta give family party a miss today since Im feeling unwell. Bridget's laughter keeps ringing in my head that's why.

To all Dunmanians, have yall read the email from Xu Zi Jia?

Well, i have.

After reading his email, I realised that life is really very vulnerable, however cliche that is. One moment he was just like any other Dunmanians- studying, playing, enjoying life. The next moment, he was struck with cancer which changed his life. He had to struggle with all the side-effects and at the same time, trying really hard to catch up with things in school. I guess it was pretty unexpected? In the sense that, who would have thought he would had cancer? It happened anyway, and now he is suffering from so much pain that even I, who havent heard of him before this, feel sad for him.

He's really a very strong person. Think about it. If you were him, how would you feel and how would you react? I think I'd probably cry all day, blame everyone for everything, give up on myself and just stay home. I doubt I'd ever think of hanging in there and continue with my life. But he didnt. In fact, he faced everything optimistically and even decided to continue taking his 'A' levels this year.

This really impresses me. I have no idea how he's gonna manage it but as a Dunmanian, I believe that he can pull through everything and I hope he stays strong. The darkest hour is just before the dawn. Perhaps everything is gonna work out perfectly, you'll never know. Whatever it is, he will always have us, Dunmanians, behind him and supporting him.

Life is full of surprises. You'll never know what's ahead of you. So cherish everyone and everything around you.

Today's the rehearsal at UCC. It was really tiring but I thought it was amazing how everyone panicked together, ran across the stage to look for our Bollywood costumes/canes/scarf etc, learning to fix smiles on our faces, and eventually danced together. (I had to keep asking Xinwei if my smile was okay, haha.)

Im feeling totally drained now. Besides all my homework and preparation for tests, there's still dance tomorrow. At this rate, I guess Im gonna fall ill soon, just like Sasha who is not well in the US now. (Get well soon!)

Whoooo in any case, Im looking forward to breakfast with all my EDS babies tomorrow. Love yall.

Mrs Kang changed our seating arrangements during PC just now. She's been talking about changing seats since last year but hasnt materialised it till today. So much for Bridget and I attempting to not talk during History classes! We still got separated in the end. Im currently seating with the horrible and horrendous Grace, aw man! Hahaaa love yall.

Siqi and I went for an approximately 30-mins walk around the school just now. We went for a shopping spree in the canteen after she brought the PE shirt we found on the linkway to the office. Walked around the canteen once since she was drinking and we couldnt go out of the canteen. Headed to class afterwards but we didnt feel like doing our homework so we went to the toilet and walked around the year four classrooms area. Hahaaa let's do that on Week 3's lunch break again!

SC meeting was all about cheers, Mr Gilbert Lee's and Mr Yeo's reminders about the things we have to take note as SCs. I realised that there are certain things that I failed to do as a SC. So from tomorrow onwards, Im gonna start all over again and instead of being merely event organizers, Im gonna be a role model too. (:

Bridget and I were waiting for my mom in the canteen and Junjie came. He told us what Mr Lee told him and I offered him my golden-wrapper sweet which Siqi and I bought during our walk. He claimed that it was his 'jin-gu-bang' and was doing stupid poses with it and it broke, haha. Oh and that stupid woman mistook an uncle for my dearest Singapura. How can it be?! Singapura is way better!

Clarice joined us for lunch today and I told her about JOSEPH LEE JIAN MING when he walked by our table. Whoooo~ Went to LT1 with the Bridget, Des, Daryl and Sabrina since the joker left her waterbottle there after RS lecture. Bridget and Daryl tried to be funny by running in the LT when we came out of it. So the remaining 3 of us held on to the door very tightly and they tried to convince us to open the doors by saying they saw a ghost. Hahaha attempting to scare me? Not working, peepo. :D

Jessica talked to me on MSN just now. (Seems like everyone really bonded during EDS camp huh. I was talking to Sanpeng last night too.) Anyway she was saying she'd attend every EDS events, which made me really touched by how devoted she is to EDS. I remember at the beginning of last year, the teacher who briefed us on CCA told us that his very best friends were actually his CCA-mates. And similarly, my best friends are all found in EDS. It's rather amazing how EDS can bond us so much and Im thankful the 5 of us are so close now. Gosh Im absolutely enamoured with EDS especially with all the perfect girlfriends and fun seniors.

This is rather random I know but I just cant help it. I just cant imagine EDS handover in 2011. I dread it a lot.

Frankly, I am VERY irritated by you. Ever since I replied you, you kept pestering me and trying to gain my attention. Trying to be that oh-so-nice person when in fact you're just one of those attention-seekers. Asking me for advices over small li'l trivial matters just to earn my sympathy. Please, just give me a break. I've already put everything aside and talked to you so please do not do anything that will make me hate you again. Please dont let History repeat itself. Im getting irritated.

The 1-week break has been hell for me. (Except for the EDS Camp whereby I really threw all my assignments aside and enjoyed myself thorougly.)

Lots of going-back-to-schools, assignments, project discussions, EAS Day stuffs and I do not even have the time to practise my piano pieces.

I'm seriously tired of everything. But Wendell's advice keeps flashing through my mind. After everything, I'll just look back, smile to myself, and feel proud that I've experienced and survived all these. It kinda makes me a much stronger person I guess? In the sense that I am able to hang in there despite all the bad times. So it looks like I just gotta be thankful that all these are happening to me. -stop complaining- (I've gotta apologise to that person who acts cute for ranting and complaining about everything just now.)

Anyway Sanpeng was telling me that on the night when he brought us out to the corridor to tell us ghost stories, he was picking a victim to boo at and I turned out to be that person. Fortunately, he thought I looked really scared so he abandoned that mean idea. I reminded him not to send me emails with those creepy pictures and that he should be a nice senior and so he said, "As a nice senior, I shall dedicate the rest of my years to help you overcome your fears by repeatedly exposing you to such pictures." Awwww. Nice senior huh! I darent reply his comment because everytime I go to his profile, there'll be that freaky MJ picture. Oh gosh, sickening. But nevertheless, EDS still rocks.

Haha this is the 3rd post of the day. I just seem to have a lot to say.

Sinyee and I were chatting on MSN just a moment ago. As Natasha has said, Sinyee and I can really go together since we're so similar. We just love taking pictures over and over again, we're crazy over ____ (please dont say it here on my blog!), and WE'RE OF THE SAME HEIGHT! Wonderful huh! I love you Sinyee! :D

To Bridget, Daryl and Desirae: Sabrina and I just came up with a slogan for the week for the 5 of us. It shall be: Please go eat your maggots now or I stuff your head into a bag of LAYS. Haha yall definitely understand the LAYS part straightaway because of what Sabrina did during the movie. As for the maggots, you girls probably need to recall what we always eat after dance. Yes.

EDS CAMP 2009 WAS SUCHA BLAST!

My group was Group 4 and we're called the 4ERRARI. Awesome huh. We've got Natalia as our leader, Raey as our assistant leader, Yusiang, Clara, Wenxin, Sarah (Lai), Alyssa, Louisa, Yunyi, Jiaqi, Vanessa (Low), and myself. Too bad Vanessa and Wenxin couldnt join us.

First day wasnt very fun. Just those ice-breakers. Second day was muchhhhhh better. We played Finding Nemo and it was so hilarious. There were stuffs like:

1) Convince CK to do a body wave,
2) Convince CK to sing the school song one octave higher (-50marks),
3) Take a picture of someone whose initial is XY or YL,
4) Get the group to sing WOMANIZER etc.

We all of a sudden became boot-lickers and started sucking the committee up just so they will be convinced.

We played taboo and had group performance whereby I was CK and Raey was Maureen. The very best part was the movies. The committee planned for us to watch Dead Silence but Ms Koh forbade for fear that we wouldnt dare to sleep or start imagining things in the middle of the night. Hence, Mr Ken came out with an alternative - The Others. Starring Nicole Kidman. It's a very old movie but a very good one. We were screaming like crazy. Sabrina was hiding behind her bag of potato chips. I kept hiding behind Sabrina and Daryl. The freakiest part was the part when Ann was wearing the gown and all of a sudden she turned into the old woman. Darn it. I totally screamed at that part. Haha the best part was that everyone screamed together. ♥

Lights were supposed to be out at 1am but we couldnt sleep. So Sanpeng decided to bring us out the room and tell us ghost stories. We sat at the passageway and apparently Yusiang saw something and Sanpeng felt something. :( For those who dont believe, forget it.

Had amazing race the next day. IT WAS SUPERB AND AWESOME AND FUN AND TIRING AND GREAT AND WONDERFUL AND FANTASTIC AND GORGEOUS AND PRETTY. 4errari was leading until the station where we had to follow the directions which apparently will bring us to our next destination. We were walking about for about an hour yet had no clue where our next destination was. We finally found it after an hour and sped up. AND WE BECAME THE FIRST HAHAHAHAHA. :D

Since we were earlier than the expected time, we had a long lunch break. We were exchanging ghost stories and they were all so freaky. Sanpeng told us a lot about the school and his trip to the Old Changi Hospital. I was tearing throughout the whole time. Regina joined us later and told us about the toilet and I promise I'll never step into that toilet anymore. (Dont ask me anything about this please.)

Went back to the LT to play PICTIONARY. I conclude that Raey is very creative and Bridget can draw horses very well. Oh and we had the prize presentation too. 4errari didnt win but nevertheless, I love yall! Yall have been such fun groupmates and I thoroughly enjoyed all of your company during the camp! (:

We were dismissed and we met Sanpeng while waiting for our parents. He was with his friend whose name I dont know how to spell but anyway it sounds like binggan which means biscuits in Chinese. They were telling us ghost stories again. Omg both of them really rock. Anyway I played a memory game with biscuit. He remembered Sabrina's, Vicki's and my name but apparently not Bridget's. Hahaha.

Anyway eds♥ camp was really fantabulous and Im so looking forward to next year's. Thank you 4errari for the wonderful company; Sanpeng for all the ghost stories; Sabrina who waited about 10mins for me while I was bathing; Bridget for drawing the horse; and lastly and most importantly, the eds committee for organizing this! I♥EDS!

This camp really bonded us a lot. I got to know more about a lot of people like: Sarah Lai, Raey, Yusiang, Regina, Sanpeng, and my juniors (basically Louisa, Pinkett, Joelle and Vivianne). It's really a great camp and Im glad I didnt miss it.

Today's the EDS♥CAMP wheeeeeee~

Im in Group 4, together with Natalia (Leader), Raey (A.Leader), Jiaqi, Yunyi, Vanessa Low, Louisa, Alyssa, Sarah Lai, Clara, Wenxin and Yusiang. And together, we're the FOURRARI! :D

Group activities were really fun! Especially with the awesome company I've got. Im so looking forward to tomorrow's activities except for the horror movie at night! I was warning Alyssa that if we were to sleep as a group, she'll have to be prepared to wake up anytime at night because I have the habit of waking the person next to me in the middle of the night if I wake up.

Which brings me back to the P5 camp in SGSS. I was sleeping next to Lynn and before we slept, we made a deal that whoever wakes up in the middle of the night will wake the other up and the latter had to wake up to accompany the former no matter what. In the end, I woke up and tried waking Lynn but she couldnt wake up. Hahaha.

This holiday is really disgustingly packed.

Monday-Wednesday: EDS Camp;
Thursday: LA Extra class (0900-1100), EAS Day Committee meeting (1100-1300), Chinese 剧本 Group discussion;
Friday: Doctor's appointment

Really busy, considering the amount of projects (History RAFT, 剧本, RS, SIP, CME and ACC) and assignments (3 Science reflections, Geography of Food perfomance task, LA essay and Math Assignment 4) I have. Not forgetting piano lessons too.

You tell me, how can I study for my Malay test like this?

I can hardly let down my hair and play. Sasha has been pleading and begging for me to stayover at her house before she goes back to the States. I've been trying to squeeze time for her but I realise there's no way I can do so.

Seriously, I'd rather not have this freaking break.

But then again, it's exactly all these hard times that test our mettle and sharpen us, yes? Like Mr Gilbert Lee has said, we have to step out of our comfort zone and only then will our comfort zone expand. I think it beats missing camps and other non-related-to-studies activities. I mean, what do you get? Just studying day in day out. You get good grades. But you're missing out on all the fun and happiness. That's why I make it a point to at least rest a li'l. And like what Wendell has told me some time back, as I move on in life and look back, I'll eventually feel proud of myself that I've overcome all the obstacles and difficult times. (:

Oh yes I dreamt of Bridget's joker, Sabrina, last night. I dreamt that we took 'A' levels
and Sabbie (pronounced 'sah-bi') was the one with the most outstanding results in our school. I guess I've been too excited over the fact that DHS' pioneer batch made it into the Top 5. I just cant stop thinking about it. As for why it's Sabrina, I really have no idea. Hahaha.

Oh yes Bridget, I've got something BIG to tell you!! It's about tank. Remind me to tell you!

Yesterday was just yet another normal school day. Only difference is that I got really tired halfway through HCL class and was trying really hard to survive the 3 periods of ACC afterwards. I guess Bridget was pretty bored during that period of time because I didnt really entertain her. I just listened to the teacher drone on and on.

Lunch break with EDS girlfriends was pretty okay. We played soccer table again and I must say that Desirae is really good at it. Haha we scored 4-1, 4 being Desirae, Sabrina and I and obviously, 1 being Bridget and Daryl.

We tried on the dance costumes during dance. I thought the Hollywood costume was nice. :D

We headed to the canteen after dance and met Sophia and Jiahui there. They popped by for a chat and Im quite surprised that Jiahui actually remembers me. Anyway it's nice to have talked to them. Oh, Daryl and Sabrina WILL join us in SC next year. Yes they will. And the 5 of us can be together again YAY!

The rest of them went back soon, leaving only Bridget and I. As always, she was eating that smelly food with the smelly sauce and I seriously cant figure out how she actually put those food into her mouth. Anyway, we were waiting for her dad at the foyer and Jessica's [EDS Drama (Year 5 this year)] church friend Samantha approached us to invite us to YHope for the Curtain Cell event. Thanks for the invitation, people, and Im really sorry that Bridget and I cant turn up.

Anyway, HAPPY BDAY DESIRAE CHONG AND I LOVE YOU LIKE CRAZY! I've got so much to tell you, so much that my long letter to you isnt enough. I just cant thank you enough. But basically, thank you for being so encouraging at all times and your hugs always help. The 5 of us are gonna be the best girlfriends ever and bear in mind that whatever happens, we'll always stay strong as one. Bridget, Daryl, Sabrina and I love you more than you can ever imagine! Oh yes and I hope you like the trinket box! I LOVE YOU! <3

Perfect date with EDS girlfriends!
Bridget and I were waiting for the rest at Cafe Cartel and we had plans to make Daryl sit alone and be our domestic woman by helping us get the bread, order our food and leave when our food were on the table. Haha! They reached only like ten minutes later because they couldnt find the place. Bridget was sad that her jokers/entertainers didnt sit next to her. We were talking about ghost movies over lunch and Desirae was totally freaked out. And Daryl had a great time tearing her meat patty.

On our way to buy food to smuggle into the cinema, Sabrina and Bridget were walking ahead of us and as usual Bridget was very preoccupied with Sabrina's jokes. So Desirae, Daryl and I decided to sneak away and we successfully did. I saw Bridget turn back and look for us. Bridget, did I tell you that you looked pretty amusing then? Like a small li'l girl who lost her mom in the shopping centre.

Anyway, the three of us were expecting for the both of them to call us but they didnt! So we wandered all over and spent most of the time at Pet Lover's Centre till Sabbie called. Haha we left for movies afterwards.

While we were walking to Cathy, we saw Sabbie's and Desirae's ACC teacher, Xu Lao Shi and he was with a woman. His girlfriend/wife, we believe. We were stalking him and later tried calling out for him but he didnt respond, oh well.

Headed to the cinemas after that and I SWEAR MARLEY AND ME IS A GOOD MOVIE YALL SHOULD WATCH IT! Bridget was telling me how boring it was at the beginning and I just couldnt shut her up. I was so engrossed and suddenly and randomly, she asked, "Eh wanna go take neoprints?" I was like, SHUT UP, IM WATCHING. Hahaha. Towards the end, she was finally engrossed. We were all crying and Bridget asked me to stop sniffing. Haha I just couldnt help it. (The book made me cry more.) At the end of the movie, we realised that we all cried. All except Daryl. Hahahahhahahahahhahahah heartless.

Anyway it's really a great show. To me. Im so gonna get a dog in future. And Im so gonna spend more time with Simba and Mocha during family parties at Uncle Raymond's house. (PS, girls, dont forget our Vegetarian Days!)

Lazed at Starbucks after the movie. Wanted to have a photo snapped together and have it pasted up on the board in Starbucks but apparently that activity has already ended. Too bad. We were talking about how Bridget looked like Jonathan and how her hairstyle was like *****'s; We prank called Yongxin using Sabrina's phone; We laughed at Daryl whose contact lens dropped and was unglamourously putting it back in; We laughed at the guy who had curly hair etc. Everything can become funny with them around. :D

Before we left, we headed to the toilet. 1) To answer nature's call, 2) To camwhore, 3) [Applies only on Daryl and Bridget] To put Sabbie's bag beside the dustbin.

Today's great fun. Our next outing will be at East Coast Park. We're planning for a picnic, however much Bridget doesnt like the Sun.

Gosh I spent 1 hour or more just to solve a Math sum.
Lots more than an hour actually.

I tried doing it on my own but later decided that, no it's not working. Bridget said she would help me tomorrow when we meet but I was so eager to do it that I just couldnt wait for tomorrow. So I tried calling out for help by having my personal message as: help me with my math, someone.

And then Shuqi came to help, Yiren came to help, Shaun came to help, Weihing came to help, Mr Yeo came to help. Nice peepo huh. All from SC except Weihing who is far away in RI. Anyway Im really glad, people, that you guys attempted to help me. Especially Shaun who really taught me step-by-step and finally I understood it. Nevertheless, thank you, the rest who helped. ;)

Out with dearest EDS girlfriends tomorrow. Bridget is pestering me to tell her what Im gonna wear. Oh anyway Bridget and I figured that we've got a very special sense of humour. Other people out there dont usually laugh at things that we laugh at and apparently we dont laugh at what they laugh at too. Remember the talk on the different kinds of rape, Bridget? Hahaha we were the only ones laughing at _______ and however funny we thought she was, no one else felt the same way. Gosh, she was sucha joker then!

By the way, we made a new friend DARREN recently. It all started with Bridget when she decided to make friends with him as he was Chongming's friend. ("The loser will have to high-five the winner.") And I got to know Rachel Lim (2H) better after she came up with the hamburger & fillet o fish joke. Hahahaha.

Sabrina!
It's nice to have you with us during lunch this afternoon. I know how you feel and Im really sorry that you have to go through this. However much you dont want this to happen, it has already happened and there's nothing much you can do now. Bear in mind that Bridget, your clique-dance-and-song partner, Daryl, our fairy who sprinkles fairy dust, Desirae, whose attempts to seduce us all the time and me who laughs at almost every joke you say and appreciate you really much, will always stand by you!

Despite being in different classes, you can always come to look us up or join us for lunch. The 4 of us really love you and like how you enjoy being with us, -laughs-, we enjoy being with you too!

CT1 is overrrrr!

Math is screwed;
Chinese is screwed;
Japanese is very screwed;
Science was fine;
Geography was fine;
LA IS SUPER SCREWED AND IM BOUND TO FAIL.

Seeing people around me already writing their scripts while Im still fidgeting made me feel panicky and I just couldnt focus. I DIDNT ANSWER THE QUESTION AND I THINK IM VERY HORRIBLE.

I guess Im just not cut out for studying.

EDS was really tiring this afternoon. Bevan couldnt come so the Year Fours had to take over. I think it was really hard on them as they had to be serious and yet at the same time, they didnt want to raise their voices at us. Perhaps all of us should really know when to be serious. I know how it feels like having to control a class of students but no one listens so I know how Vanessa and all felt. So from tomorrow onwards, let us all learn to pay attention when they have something to say. With that, EDS rocks! :D

Had dinner with Daryl at Mos Burger. We talked really much and I enjoyed dinner with her. Cant wait for Desirae's bday celebration on Thursday!
