We camwhored and waited and waited and waited.

Finally, the EDSNIGHT atmosphere rised when we started giving out cards to everyone. It's our perfect tradition. Chocolates + Cards + Hugs + Lots of camera snappings. While doing so, I realised that time really flies. EDSNight'08 seems to be a recent story yet now EDSNIGHT'09 is already here. In other words, before we have the time to stop and think, the Year 4s'09 will be stepping down while the next batch takes over. I know Im gonna miss the Year 4s. So many things happened this year- good and bad. And now it's really hard to believe that they will have to leave us soon.

Anyway, Vanessa (Phang) came back to help out again. What's really sad was that this is gonna be the last year she's coming back to help. Dear Vanessa, we may not be exactly bonded for you left EDS way before I joined. Nevertheless, I still love you for helping me with my make-up last year and this year. You made it a point to remember our names and never failed to get my name right. I will always remember you as that very devoted senior who came back to encourage us before SYF'09 and always coming back on EDSNights with your touching speeches that made us all tear. EDS LOVES YOU.

After a longggggg wait, it was finally time for performance. As I hugged Xinwei, I remembered that that was our last EDSNight together. I really hated it. I remember I used to be scared of Xinwei and always thought of her as a fierce senior. Until we got the same parts for SYF item and started talking. Xinwei was always there to render help whenever I need, to gossip with me while Bevan touched on other parts, to encourage me and all that I needed. I couldnt control myself and started to tear. Then Wenting, Zhiyi, Charlotte and Zeqi came in to comfort me and tried to made me laugh again. And I just felt so thankful that Im in EDS. As the familiar music started, we went onto the stage. I couldnt think of anything but "to make Bevan cry", "30+ souls merge into 1", and everything that Vanessa (Phang) used to say to us before performance. I felt so touched at the end of the dance when the claps and cheers came in. There you go, our efforts.

After SYF item, the Year 2 dancers mad-ran to the toilet to get changed for our level dance, FACE-OFF. It was really chaotic as we changed hurriedly, pulling stockings up and all. I was really nervous. And then at the backstage, Sanpeng encouraged us, "You know you're good. I know you're good. But the audience don't know that. So show it to them!" At last, Sanpeng wasn't teasing me. I think we all felt motivated after that and went up the stage. The music started and it all started once again. That dance we've been working really hard for weeks and ended within 3 minutes.

We've been working for this day since SYF ended. Dance practises with the Year 2 dancers were sometimes mentally tiring but overall, I must say it was really an experience. We always hoped that there would be an appropriate place for us to dance, but we always ended up in really crappy places. As for the costumes, the 'girls' walked all over Orchard Road browsing through shops after shops, trying on and putting away. But finally, we did it. We managed to complete the dance item before EDSNight and I'm just so proud of all 11 of us. All the praises and compliments really made our days because we know that afterall, our efforts arent wasted. I LOVE YOU GIRLS.

EDSNight finally ended. We danced our finale item and after that started to congratulate everyone and cheering really loudly. It struck me again that it was the last EDSNight with the Year 4s and I felt really sad again. I must say that not all of our memories with them were good. There were really bad ones. But afterall, we've been through a lot together and I know I'll miss them. :(

After dance, I went to give Sanpeng his card from me because I didnt have the chance to do so before that. I know he likes my pink card but not the long card, haha!

Finally, EDSNight'09 is over. I have many people to thank- those who texted me before EDSNight to wish me, those who encouraged me a lot, those who texted me after the performance to congratulate me, those who gave me gifts and cards and most importantly, EDS FOR MAKING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. EDS has been making everything right for me and I am truly thankful to be in this fantabulous CCA with all the marvellous people. I love you, every single one of you.
